The foundation of a good recipe always starts with a careful selection of ingredients. AmoreZero Snack uses non-GMO ingredients, contains no gluten, and avoids artificial additives. For this reason, it offers a clean-label option for people looking for a sweet snack made with simple, recognizable ingredients.
Honey
In industrially produced nougat, refined sugar is often the main ingredient because it is inexpensive and easy to process.
AmoreZero follows a different approach. We do not use refined sugar or industrial syrups. Instead, we sweeten AmoreZero Snack only with natural honey, an ingredient valued for centuries and studied for its antioxidant compounds and its role in traditional nutrition.
We use natural, unfiltered, and unpasteurized honey as the only sweetener in the recipe.
Honey is a natural sweetener with numerous health benefits:
– Slow-release energy, provides sustainable energy without causing excessive blood sugar spikes.
– Antioxidant properties, contains polyphenols and flavonoids that help fight free radicals and reduce inflammation.
– Antibacterial and antimicrobial effects, it has been used for centuries as a natural remedy for sore throats and mild infections.
– Moderate glycemic index, about 50, much lower than refined sugar (65), sugar syrup (70), and glucose syrup (100).
Almonds
We use high-quality, non-GMO almonds from the current year’s harvest. We also leave the skin on because it is a natural source of fiber.
With over 60% almonds in each serving, almonds are not just an addition to AmoreZero Snack. They are the foundation of the recipe.
Almonds are an excellent source of essential nutrients:
– 21% plant-based protein, ideal for supporting muscle mass and satiety.
– Healthy fats, rich in monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fatty acids, help reduce LDL (bad) cholesterol and improve cardiovascular health.
– 12% fiber, aids digestion and weight control.
– Excellent source of vitamin E, magnesium, calcium, and zinc.
Egg White
Egg white helps create AmoreZero’s soft structure, natural consistency, and traditional white color. It also supports the texture that makes the snack tender instead of hard or brittle.
Eddible Wafer and Flavors
The Gluten-Free white wafer uses simple ingredients: potato starch, sunflower oil, and sunflower lecithin. It makes up only about 1% of the recipe and helps you hold each piece without it sticking to your fingers.
For the lemon, orange, and vanilla versions, we use natural flavors without artificial colorings or preservatives.
A Slower Way to Make a Sweet Snack
Modern industrial nougat production often relies on speed, high temperatures, refined sugar, and glucose syrup. AmoreZero takes a slower path.
We cook the snack slowly at low temperature to help preserve aroma, texture, and the natural character of the ingredients. Instead of industrial shortcuts, we use Italian artisanal techniques that give each ingredient time to become part of the final structure.
Fresh Roasting
We do not buy almonds that were roasted months in advance. Instead, we roast them fresh for each batch.
Then, while the almonds are still warm, we combine them with honey. This step helps preserve their fragrance and aroma inside the recipe.
Slow Cooking
We whip egg white with honey and cook the mixture slowly at low temperature. This process requires patience because honey behaves differently from refined sugar and glucose syrup.
Industrial nougat made with sugar and glucose can often reach its target consistency much faster. AmoreZero, instead, needs a slower process to reach the texture we want before we mix in the freshly roasted almonds.
A Different Food Structure
AmoreZero Snack is not simply honey plus almonds placed together. During the slow cooking process, honey, egg white, and roasted almonds become part of a compact food structure.
This structure matters. Whole almonds bring fiber, fat, and protein. Honey provides natural sweetness. Egg white helps create the soft texture and traditional white color.
Together, these ingredients create a different eating experience from industrial sweets made mostly with refined sugar or glucose syrup.
Individually Wrapped
After cooking, we press the dough into a sheet, apply wafer paper to both sides, and cut it into individual pieces.
Then, we wrap each piece right away to help preserve freshness, fragrance, and flavor.
Finally, we ship the batch under controlled temperatures and deliver it directly to the customer.
Every bite reflects the difference between a slowly made Italian snack and a mass-produced sweet: more texture, more aroma, and a cleaner ingredient philosophy.
